St. Louis Blues press release...
The St. Louis Blues have reached an agreement with free agent forward Brandon Saad on a five-year contract worth $22.5 million.
Saad, 28, a veteran of 10 NHL seasons, is a former NHL All-Star and a two-time Stanley Cup Champion (2013, 2015 - Chicago).
Saad was originally drafted by Chicago in the second round, No. 43 overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.
Last season, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native appeared in 44 regular-season games with the Colorado Avalanche, posting 24 points (15 goals, nine assists) and 12 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 206-pound forward is a five-time 20-goal scorer, including 2015-16, when he logged 31 and earned a selection to the NHL All-Star Game.
