From Nick Montemagno of The Rangers Tribune:
Reports coming out tonight are that forward Erik Christensen will be out of the lineup four to six weeks with an MCL sprain suffered in last night’s 3-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. Christensen has registered 14 points in 37 games this season and has also been the Rangers’ best player in the shootout. As reported earlier, Dale Weise has been recalled from Connecticut (AHL) in his place.
Not too sure how I feel about this given Christensen’s inconsistency this season. Some games he looks like he belongs in the NHL while in others, you hardly notice him.
With that said, I am curious to see what this Rangers’ team will be like once everyone is healthy.
