From TSN:
Vancouver Canucks forward Raffi Torres is scheduled for a disciplinary hearing over the phone on Thursday over his hit to the head of Jordan Eberle of the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, this quote from Torres seems to have a few people in a tizzy since last night:
“If they are trying to get rid of clean hits like that, what’s this league going to be in a couple of years?”
Well, it wasn’t a “clean” hit, but I’m not sure it was quite as bad as some others would argue, either. (i.e. JJ’s “Glass Houses” thing is a fair point). Regardless, tomorrow we’ll find out what the league itself thinks—but if he’s sitting out any playoff games, as was proposed last night, I’d be pretty surprised.
