“Sometimes it takes all of your lifelines to win a million dollars. So that’s where we are at right now,” said Bieksa. “We’ve used our three lifelines. It’s do-or-die right now.”
Regarding the hard hit from Bickell that did not draw a penalty, Bieksa replied:
“It’s whatever ... playoff hockey. There’s a lot of stuff going on right now. Referees, I’m sure, are trying to figure out how they are going to call it. It’s playoff hockey, it’s inconsistent and that’s what you expect.”
Good boy, Bieksa. You do a girl proud.
Now, if you don’t mind… could you please WIN THE NEXT #$&# GAME?!
Cheers!
P.S. I can’t be reasonable and calm ALL the time, for godsakes. I’m under stress! ;)
Update 3:48pm PT: Mike Gillis statement and Q & A—
Update 5:06pm PT:: Apparently Bickell’s injury is more serious than they thought… or at least, the recovery time is. From Mark Spector—
Hawks confirm Bickell’s tendon injury in Game 2. He’s out 6-8 weeks. Don’t laugh - he has two more goals in this series than Ryan Kesler.
Laugh? Who’s laughing? And speaking of Kesler… again, who’s laughing?? Bah.
