Who May Be Moved By The Detroit Red Wings

12/26/2018 at 10:16am EST

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

Trevor Daley

Contract: One year remaining at a $3.167 million cap hit. His full no-trade clause expires 10 days before this season's deadline, changing to a modified NTC.

Moving Daley would create a permanent spot for Filip Hronek this season or open a spot for Libor Sulak or Joe Hicketts next season. Daley wouldn't be a rental, so would the additional year on his deal make him more attractive to a team that could have him for two playoff runs?

Martin Frk

Contract: Final year at a $1.05 million cap hit. Will be a restricted free agent on July 1.

Frk has just one goal and three assists in 22 games and hasn't been able to secure a regular spot on one of the top three lines. He doesn't appear to have a future in this organization. If a team is looking for power-play help in a player with a tremendously hard right-handed shot, the Red Wings could move him.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
