A couple of items you may have missed the last two days while I was ill and undergoing tests. The results won't be back until Monday so a little bit of stress on my end.
Thanks for all the well wishes too.

How much should Anthony Mantha be paid on his next contract? And for how long will the Detroit Red Wings lock him up?
Mantha believes having missed 28 games due to injuries will make contract negotiations between his agent and general manager Steve Yzerman a little trickier.
“It will be complicated, I think,” Mantha said. “My (job) is to play hockey. My agent and Stevie are going to talk. Maybe they’ve started. If not, over the summer and try to see what I could bring to the team in the future.”

As the Detroit Red Wings enter the final month of the season, the intrigue over a potential Moritz Seider sighting increases.
The top defense prospect in the organization has been sidelined since Feb. 22, when he appeared to suffer a head injury after being hit during a game between his Grand Rapids Griffins and the San Antonio Rampage.
Seider has been in Detroit while rehabbing, but he practiced with the Griffins on Thursday in Rockford and is expected to play if not this weekend, then next week.
The Griffins are trying to gain a foothold in the AHL playoffs, while the Wings have 14 games left, starting with hosting the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. Should the Griffins string together a winning streak, there’s potentially a window to call up Seider and give him a look at the NHL level.
