Abel to Yzerman

Until October.....

This is our last Wings Live Blog of this season. Some of us will hang around and flip between two games tonight. Sparty is in a big game tonight and I'm happy that more than a few seasoned veterans are watching that game from somewhere in the Pizzarena.

Those injuries gave us the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what could be future Wings somewhere down the road.

It forced the hands of management and the coaching staff to play the youngsters that have helped to make the last three plus weeks really fun to watch.
All this winning may cost us a pick in the upcoming draft, but, you cannot just throw away the kind of experience that this group has gained by playing and winning together. Here's hoping that these games translate into lessons learned, and, the young core of the team will carry that into next season.

Until October.........

It's a Live Blog!

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
