Detroit Red Wings prospects Simon Edvinsson and Sebastian Cossa were both named to TSN analyst Craig Button’s list of Top 50 NHL-affiliated players.
Edvinsson, expected to play in Detroit next season, is listed at No. 3 and the 6-foot-6 Cossa ranks at No. 13. The only goalie ranked ahead of Cossa is Swedish standout Jesper Wallstedt, a Minnesota Wild draft pick, at No. 6. Wallstedt boasts a 1.98 goals-against average and .917 save percentage for Lulea in the Swedish Hockey League.
The only NHL team with higher positioning than Detroit on two prospects is the Buffalo Sabres.They have defenseman Owen Power at No. 1 and forward Jack Quinn at No. 8.
Sebastian Cossa, 19, is ranked ahead of Nashville’s prospect goalie Yaroslav Askarov who was a first-round pick in 2020.
