Stock down
Evgeny Svechnikov
He lost his spot in the lineup when Bobby Ryan returned from an upper-body injury last game. Svechnikov, 24, was quiet his last two games he always works hard, but he didn’t create offensively, and that made him vulnerable. If he isn’t playing with the Wings, though, he’d be better served playing in Grand Rapids than being on a taxi squad for longer than a weekend.Christian Djoos
Djoos likewise found himself booted from the lineup after going quiet. He has a good shot but he wasn’t effective his last two games, and pulling him enabled the Wings to get a look at defenseman Dennis Cholowski. Djoos needs to use his shot to create chaos around the net, because otherwise he’s not making an impact.
more, the stock up players are Fabbri, Hronek, Larkin and Rasmussen...
Michael Rasmussen
The 21-year-old has looked comfortable, showing improvement even from just his first stint with the team in January. He’s getting more shots through he had seven shots on net last week — and improving on faceoffs (he won 38.9% of draws last week). His skating is better, and so is his ability to stay in front of the net on power plays.
