The Last Wings Game Of The Season

04/29/2022 at 6:30pm EDT

This is the last game of a season that all the talking heads are saying is disappointing. Be that as it may, I would prefer to end it on a more positive note. First and foremost, as a group, the 19 always show up and have a great time in spite of circumstances beyond our control. I am so grateful for every single one of you. Whether you're here or elsewhere during a game, I thank you. Also we're all above ground for Heaven's sake. Big positive there.

Next up are, Seider, Raymond, Vrana, Nedeljkovic, Larkin, Bertuzzi, Rasmussen, and I'm putting Staal in there too. Just because. The above mentioned are all players that have really impressed, are fun to watch, and a few of them have surprised us all. Even Gangner will get an honorable mention. Sundqvist and Walman joined the team later, so it could go either way with them. Time will tell. I'm sure I've left a couple of guys out so feel free to add them during the LB.

The moves Yzerman makes this Summer will determine how many of us will join in every LB starting next October. I have to hope he chooses wisely.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention Mickey Redmond, the best in the business, and, the addition of Manon Rheaume. She brings another much need professional perspective to the broadcast crew, and, I really like her. Also Ozzie, Keats, Trevor, Ken, and Murph.

Many thanks to Paul Kukla, for our safe space, and, Bill Houlihan the esteemed founder of A2Y.

The last positive has to be, it's the last Wings game of this season. Enjoy it!

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
