The Buffalo Sabres Are Coming In Hot

11/24/2018 at 1:13pm EST

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

After several years of scraping the NHL's basement, the Buffalo Sabres are reaping the rewards of high draft picks and some shrewd trades.

The Sabres (15-6-2) have won eight in a row and are third overall in the league heading into tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena (7 p.m., Fox Sports Detroit).

It will be the Red Wings' first look at defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, the top pick in the 2018 draft. Dahlin is tied for third in the NHL in points among rookies (two goals, 10 assists in 23 games), tops among defensemen.

Jack Eichel, the No. 1 selection in the 2015 draft, leads Buffalo with 26 points. Jeff Skinner, acquired in an off-season trade with the Carolina Hurricanes, is tied for the NHL lead with 17 goals (with Boston's David Pastrnak).

The Sabres have won seven one-goal games during this run, including two in overtime and three in shootouts.

Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
