The game didn't not start out well for the Wings, down 2-0 but after forty minutes, Detroit was up 4-3.
The Wild scored early in th third then again with less than eight minutes to play in regulation to make it 5-4 Minnesota.
Detroit scored with under three minutes to go to make it 5-5 and the teams head for a little bit of 3 on 3 action.
No scoring in OT so the shootout will settle this game.
