The Wings found themselves down by two goals after 20 minutes and could not find a way to get back into the game.

Detroit made it a 2-1 game with an Ehn goal in the second period.

Chicago scored in the third to make it 3-1, Nyquist gave the Wings some life to make it 3-2 with about 4 1/2 minute left but Kane scored a minute later to mke it 4-2. Chicago added an empty net goal and that is how the game ended.
