The Wings started the game looking good and took an early 1-0 lead. Tampa added the next two goals and lead 2-1 after 20 minutes. I can imagine many you saying I've seen this before and it doesn't turn out well.

But no.

Detroit probably played their best period of the year, scored two goals and dominated the play. Detroit up 3-2 after 40 minutes.

Midway in the third period Tampa scores and we have a tie game.

The Lightning had the better scoring chances for the rest of regulation but OT was on the horizon

In OT, Tampa scores at 2:17 mark to wing 4-3.

I think many Detroit fans will take this kind of game every night.
