It was smooth sailing for 33 minutes or so- with 8 minutes left in the 2nd period the Wings lead in shots 24-6 and goals 3-0.
Then the Blues scored on the power play.
Then the Blues scored on the power play, again.
Shots after two- 25 for Detroit, 21 for St. Louis.
St. Louis tied the score around the eight minute mark in the third but Bertuzzi scored roughly five minutes later to give Detroit a 4-3 lead.
The Blues pressured the Wings late in the game but Jimmy Howard stood strong. Wings win 4-3.
