Canes lead 1-0 with a power play goal. The Wings had some great scoring chances on their first power play but could not find the back of the net.
Detroit scored the only goal in the second period to make it 1-1 after forty minutes.
Wait Ruff, the team reporter for the Canes wrote this after two periods- This has been a weird game to assess. Raanta has been robust, the fourth line has been good for the most part and overall it felt like Carolina has dictated where the game is played. Yet the Wings lead in shots and have it tied.
The Wings took a 2-1 lead early in the third period but 4 minutes later Carolina tied it 2-2.
With just nder four minutes to play, the Canes scored then forty seconds later, Dylan Larkin tied the game at 3-3.
No more scoring in the third, so off to OT we go.
With eight seconds left in OT, Raymond scores on the power play, Wings win 4-3.
