Ras, Soderblom, and Maata are all guys that I am happy got their first goals early. An early season scoring drought is no good for anyone's confidence.

A good win in a hard fought game. Jake Allen had a super game.
Allen looked like the 2019 Jake Allen man, he made some big stops tonight. Both goalies look outstanding. The Habs are going to be better than many people think. They are down a few key players and St. Louis is doing a good job on the bench.
Elmer can start looking for an apartment now.

Since Dennis Cholowski
was a bit of a hilarious downer to Big Elms first NHL highlight video.
It was noteworthy that last Summer SY mentioned Soderblom as a player whose upside and likely ability to play in the NHL, as a pretty unique offensively smart, skilled player with his size and reach, was particularly exciting.
But its another thing to see the offensive sense and hands and reach in a real NHL game. Opponents are going to try to get him off his game.
Man, it was also nice to see someone other than Bert standing in front of the net to send the puck into the net. At his size he's going to take some abuse there but he should be able to stand firm.
I liked the intensity, liked clearing the net, liked defensive structure and execution. Did not like the offense with first 2 lines not creating much, but 21 shots in the first 10 minutes(?), that was usually our shot output for the game last year.
