The Wings did not play as well as they did on Tuesday against Carolina but did lead 2-0 after 40 minutes.
Thomas Greiss replaced Jonathan Bernier late in the 2nd period (lower-body injury) and Robby Fabbri scored early in the 3rd to put Detroit up 3-0 (a natural hat trick for #14).
The Stars pulled their goalie down 3-1 and it worked for them, 3-2 game with 80 seonds left.
No more scoring, the Wings win 3-2.
