The Boston Bruins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-1 tonight in Boston.
Somehow the Wings were only down 2-1 after 40 minutes.
But the Bruins scored 3 goals in less than 2 minutes early in the 3rd period and basically the game was over.
Let's see if they bounce back at home against Minnesota Saturday night.
Detroit's only goal is below.
God, these bad habits. At what point do you consider major surgery? I know Boston is very good, but weve seen way too many games like this in the past 5 years. Just disheartening.
Bring up Hirose or Bergren next game if necessary.
Berggren is injured
Fire Blashill!
11 goals allowed in the last two games says it all.
I could do without Lindstrom and Hagg right now... I just don't know who would be better suited to take their places. Walman and Edvinsson? Give Johansson a look? Sebrango? Viro? Literally anyone else?
I'm still fence-sitting on Zadina, but I'm starting to fall toward the "jettison" side. He hustles, but his decision making ability is just not up to snuff. He's got great instincts, but it seems like if you ask him to read a play and think about it, he'll kill the play.
I don't mind them losing, it happens, losing to better teams that certainly will happen, but I am starting too get a bit irritated by the lack of youth development thus far in the early days of the Yzerlonde era. Its way too early, this is kind of like extended camp until we get to November at least, but with Bert and Vrana out, better all around top 4, I was hoping to see one of our future cornerstones take an early step, instead, I'm struggling to find A young player or prospect that is playing better than he was last year. That needs to change.
