Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
Did I miss an injury to Gustav Lindstrom?
Lalonde tells the media Bertuzzi expected back tomorrow and Lindstrom is day to day.
Kubalik Copp Sundqvist
Berggren Veleno Perron
That's an interesting change. Maybe Lalonde thinks Sunny can create some space for Copp as well as give him more responsibilty without Perron on his wing. And I like the idea of Berggren getting a shot at feeding pucks to Perron. Should be interesting.
And speaking of feeding pucks to guys, I got a chance to watch the Griffins on local TV last Saturday before the Wings game. I was impressed with the way Pontus Andreasson skates the puck and then delivers it to his linemates. Also very impressed with Cross Hanas. His engine is running at full tilt everytime he's on the ice. And he backs that up with the ability to get the puck on net. Lots of potential Wings players on the Griffs roster right now.
