from Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now,
Agent Pat Brisson cautions against reading too much into the fact the Dylan Larkin’ contract negotiations have stretched beyond the halfway mark of this season.
“I’m not alarmed at all,” Brisson told Detroit Hockey Now.
Brisson declined to discuss any specifics, but said the two sides are engaged in “ongoing negotiations and discussions.”
“We are talking more the last few weeks,” Brisson said.
He said he doesn’t like to talk about whether the two sides in any negotiation are close, or not, because often you don’t really know until a deal is completed. He said he sometimes thinks he’s close and he’s not, and vice versa.
Let us know what happens, Pat and Steve. Until then, who gives a shit about all this?
For those of you who don’t listen to podcasts, I’d find yesterday’s Puck Soup and advance to 46:30, where they spend a long time discussing the Yzerplan from an outside perspective. Was hard to disagree with a lot of it.
