Recently Steve Yzerman praised Jeff Blashill and the coaching staff but that was before Gerard Gallant was let go in Vegas.

Some of you have written comments in the past stating Gallant would be a good fit for the Wings. Now he is available.

He has one year left on his contract but that should not be an issue if he wishes to coach again.

So, does Yzerman wait until the end of the season, then take a look at the coaching picture for the Wings. Other coach's may become available by then too.

Or does he pull the trigger now and get Gerard Gallant?
