from Ansar Khan of Mlive,
More than 40 players, including their most recent first-round selections (Filip Zadina, Joe Veleno and Moritz Seider) will be divided into two groups (Teams Howe and Lindsay) and take part in on-ice skill development and off-ice workouts, culminating with a three-on-three tournament on Friday (6:30 p.m.) and Red & White Game Saturday (noon).
Here are 10 players to watch this week at development camp:
Jonatan Berggren, left wing
Limited to 16 games last season for Skelleftea in Sweden due to a back injury, the club’s third selection in 2018 (33rd) is a good skater and puck skills. He’s more of a playmaker who the Red Wings believe can become a better finisher.
Albin Grewe, right wing
A highly competitive player who likens himself to Brad Marchand, Grewe, selected 66th this weekend, is a good skater and aggressive forechecker, playing a physical, agitating style that resulted in 102 penalty minutes in only 25 games in 2018-19 for Djurgardens under-20 team.
