Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey Now speculated on five players who could be entering the trade market during the 2022-23 NHL season. A prominent name on that list is Detroit Red Wings left-winger Tyler Bertuzzi.
Bertuzzi will be entering the final year of his contract and if he gets to the end of the season without putting his name on a new pact, would become an unrestricted free agent.
As much as he has emphasized his desire to remain with the Red Wings, word is that Bertuzzi is also looking to get both money and term from his next deal. And who could blame him? He’s coming off a 30-goal season.
Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko of the St. Louis Blues, John Klingberg of the Anaheim Ducks and Shayne Gostisbehere of the Arizona Coyotes are the other namces cited on Kingerski’s list.
