This needs to be said - don’t take Tylenol folks. It’s acetaminophen - it is so bad for your liver. The only reason it isn’t illegal is lobbying by Johnson & Johnson, the same folks that kept talc in their baby powder knowing it was a carcinogen for 20 years. I don’t often get fired up about this sort of thing but when our government won’t it takes us little guys to do it.
Tylenol is perfectly safe in recommended doses. If one takes 4 grams a day, that’s 8 x 500mg Extra Strength Tylenol, for extended periods, a small number of people may begin to experience damage to the liver. That’s a huge dose that only rarely would be recommended, such as immediately after a joint replacement surgery for a brief period.
It would be a huge mistake to not have acetaminophen available for the benefit of its common uses.
What alternative, ibuprofen? Again perfectly safe in recommended doses and uses. Sean Elliott had kidney problems with ibuprofen, after taking 2400 mg (12 tablets) a day for 11 years trying to get through knee pain and remain a player in the NBA.
Water will kill you if you over indulge. Common sense uses of acetaminophen and ibuprofen are perfectly safe, and I am not on the take from any drug company.
So you two guys are on the seller and buyer sides of the argument? :-)
