Here’s a personal funny/tragic story involving PNC Arena. I got tickets to the Game 3 of the 2002 SCF in Raleigh which the Wings won in the third OT at aboot 1:05 am on a Larionov backhand over the shoulder of Latvian goalie Arturs Irbe.
The next week I thought the ticket would be a great keepsake and decided to make a copy of it. When I pulled open the cover on the copy machine I discovered the light had turned the ticket stub black and unreadable!
Haha that is so funny it still hurts.
