Hey y’all and welcome. We face the Habs tonight and they are never an easy opponent. The Wings are hanging in there though, with some fairly strong, solid, very entertaining hockey these last couple of games, so all we ask for is more to finish out the season.
It’s the Wings vs the Canadiens in an Original Six matchup. The puck drops around 7:00 PM and will be broadcast on Bally Sports Detroit Extra and the Red Wings Radio Network (97.1 The Ticket in Detroit) and is available on NHLPP/ESPN+, RDS, and TSN2.
It’s a Live Blog!
To all who have helped out with the KK Donation Drive, I say thank you again.
Enjoy the game.
It's the least we can do for all that you do Paul. Long live KK.
Howdy Kate. Effort and entertainment. L.G.R.W.
I’ll be lurking for tonight. I have family visiting from, (I’m almost ashamed to say this) Denver. 😉
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
1-0 Raymond.
Cool Hands Lucas!
Let’s Go Red Wings!!!!!
Yes, goalie Primeau for the Habs is Keith's son.
Cool Hand!
2-0.
2-0 Perron.
Perron!
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
Hola 19. Good to see a 2 spot early. Keep er goin.
On the optimist’s side, it’s good to see the Wings will not be eliminated until the last few games of the season.
Just sent ya some Zlotys Paul. Thanks once again for all you do.

Prosha pan. Please Excuse the spelling
Hey all! Random memory in this, Marc Joannette's last game as an NHL referee: Remember that goal Zetterberg scored in Game 6 of the 2008 Finals -- the one where Fleury fell on the puck after it went underneath him, knocking the puck across the goal line with his butt? The ref behind the goal -- in perfect position -- then motioned again and again and again that the puck was over the line. Yep. Marc Joannette.
3-0 Luff.
Luff!
The Luff balloon flies. Way to go.
Husso!
These Habs announcers are way better than the Toronto schlubs.
Hey ho Veleno.
V-man!
4-0 Velano.
Evenin’ Bitches!
I’m afraid to admit I just gaffed on the game tonight, tuning in to something while eating and stayed with it. I saw the fourth goal and will have to catch up to see the first three.
i did also click into the Montreal announcers and they’re pretty good, of course nothing to get excited about for them.
Absolutely critical games in play for the playoff positions going on too.
I don’t mind the Wings winning, just want the other teams around them in the draft standings to do better to improve the probability of the draft bingo balls.
Well CN, the last win over Toronto jumped them over (i.e., behind in the draft lottery) two teams and reduced their bingo balls from 50 to 30. There’s only so much worse they can get than 3%.
Nice d by Maatta
pepe!
Holy cow, just clinically dissecting the Habs.
Perron x2.
It’d be nice for the boys to help Husso get a shutoot as a reward for playing behind an often pretty crappy team this year.
Trailing by five the Habs won’t be pulling the goalie, so Perron will have to get a hat trick the old fashioned way.
These guys need to stop counting the chickens……. Just sayin…..
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
Huge games. If scores hold, Florida jumps Pittsburgh for the wild card, AND jumps NYI for the first WC based on Regulation Wins.
If you use your imagination as a Wings fan, this is some pretty high drama with 4 games remaining. Pens need to “out point” the other 2 b/c of their fewer RW.
Standings would be
FLA 78 GP 87 Pt 34 RW
NYI 78 GP 87 Pt 33 RW
PIT 78 GP 86 Pt 29 RW
Would love seeing Pittsburgh knocked out, just not low enough to qualify for the lottery.
Thanks for the update
All 3 are on the ice at home Thursday night.
Keep that shutoot. SWM!
Nice work by Edvinnssson.
WE WIN! It’s always nice to beat the Habs….
Lets Go Red Wings!!!!!
1500 games for the ref !!
Nice touch by the Montreal fans staying around to acknowledge the ref’s career.
Good win. Until Thursday. Have a great night 19.
Molson 3 stars. 1st Perron,2nd Husso, 3rd Veleno.
