Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now,Lucas Raymond may be ready to play Saturday at home against the Tampa Bay Lightning

It’s still uncertain when Lucas Raymond will be ready to play for the Detroit Red Wings. He’s a definite maybe for Saturday’s home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Detroit coach Derek Lalonde said Raymond had a good practice Friday.

“I don’t know if he’ll be ready for tomorrow but a step in the right direction,” Lalonde said. “The goal today was to have a full practice, be fully involved, contact, and he did that. I’ll check with our medical staff; hopefully we’ll have him for tomorrow.”

Raymond said after practice that he felt comfortable. But he still termed his undisclosed injury as “day-to-day.”

“Just have to wait to see how things progress,” Raymond said. more
