This is good news. Felt better than a 50/50 chance to me, but not a slam-dunk.
DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today assigned goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic to the American Hockey League’s Grand Rapids Griffins and activated defenseman Robert Hagg from injured reserve.
Another reason for me to watch more games in Grand Rapids, they might be able to make themselves a run this year.
Surprise surprise. I hope things work out for him, but I don't see him playing many more games in the NHL.
Depends how he plays this year out and how far he carries the Griffins. He's still young, at $3MM/season nobody wanted him, but this summer, as a UFA, league minimum, I could see him being picked up as a backup.
