Without knowing a lot about the specific coaching abilities of either Lalonde or Halpern, my gut reaction is I’d rather have Halpern. He’s a former player, and someone who seems to be the closet thing to a Rod Brind’Amour-type available right now. But like I said, just a gut reaction.

Weekes tweeted that Blashill may be a good fit in TB, if BOTH Lalonde and Halpern end up in Detroit.
