Thanks to all for the notes of support and concern. I am feeling about 80% better and will be taking it a bit slower than my normal pace and will go into detail on my health later today or tomorrow.

Two dozen NHL games typically doesn’t provide an accurate gauge of a player’s ability and ultimate impact, but the transition Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider have made has been quicker than the Detroit Red Wings could have anticipated.
They have helped accelerate the rebuild, created a buzz that has been missing since Little Caesars Arena opened four years ago, made the team more entertaining, and provided hope that the Red Wings will return to the playoffs sooner rather than later.
Seider was NHL rookie of the month for October and Raymond earned the honor for November.
Raymond leads all rookies in goals (10) and points (22) and Seider leads all first-year players in assists (14).
It’s not just rookies they measure up well against. Raymond leads the Red Wings in points and is tied with Dylan Larkin for the lead in goals. Seider tops the team in assists and power-play points (six) and is second in ice time (22:20).
Steve Yzerman’s first two first-round picks as Detroit’s general manager have improved the franchise’s outlook considerably.
