The #1 Centers In The Atlantic Division

from Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now,

Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin is heading into his seventh NHL season. He has a 32-goal season on his resume, but that was three years ago. He is coming off his least productive season. Before he was lost to injury, he only managed 23 points in 44 games. His shooting percentage was a career-low 6.7%. Larkin is expected to be ready for training camp. He’s 25 now, and it’s fair to say the Red Wings expect more from him this season. Larkin is popular with the fan base, but some see him as a No. 2 trying to be a No. 1.

Where does Larkin rank in the Atlantic Division....

7. Dylan Larkin, Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings were 30th in the NHL in scoring last season at 2.23 goals per game. One key to jump-starting the offense is improved play from Larkin. He looked out of sync last season. The Red Wings need him to register 65 or more points, and he has only done that once. Larkin needs a step-up season.

8. Josh Norris, Ottawa Senators
It’s too early to know what the Senators have in Norris. Norris boasted 17 goals and 35 points as a rookie, but where does he go from there? He is skilled, determined and only 22.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
