The difference in the 1st period was the power play. Detroit 0/1, San Jose 1/2. Sharks up 1-0 after 20 minutes.
The 2nd period belonged to Alex Nedeljkovic who made 14 saves, many of them from in close. The Wings score late in the period on a 5 on 3 to even the score 1-1.
The Wings scored early in the 3rd but the Sharks scored 90 seconds later to tie the game 2-2. No more scoring in the 3rd so off to OT.
Sharks scored in OT on a scrambly type of play in the crease. Goal was reviewed for offside- good goal.
Smith fight and Detroit goals are below.
Next game is Thursday night with the Wings hosting the Winnipeg Jets.
Good night.

I love Alyssa hope even though she’s a pens fan. She does great player highlights and a segment 5 thing you didn’t know about “hockey player”. She does a good amount of wings players as well and has a good 5 times Cindy was a crybaby video which must’ve been hard as a pens fan.

Smith once again handled himself well. I am digging his moxy.
I did not see the game, way past my bedtime.

About Abel to Yzerman
Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
Not the best road game, not the worst. Ned gave us a chance to win. Larkin was missed. Smith has been playing better lately. Fabbri has to stop taking stupid penalties.
