Dig, Dig, Digging On A Monday Evening

Khan(!), ya little bastard. He tells us Cheli's tired and headed home to Hockeytown.
Chris Chelios returned home after Saturday's game in Vancouver, as part of a scheduled rest. He'll play Thursday against Columbus. Johan Franzen (upper body injury) might be ready to play Tuesday in Calgary but Dan Cleary (sprained knee) is not ready.
He's also got tidbits on Kopecky re-signing for two more and Bertuzzi's return.

Teddy Kulfan goes further. Good God, the playoffs must be close.  The Diggers are on fire!!  Apparently there is a forward in the Wing organ-I-zation called Hank and he’s a healin’.

Zetterberg (back) is progressing every day, and could skate later this week. But his return is still up in the air. Babcock said he’d like to see Zetterberg play at least 5 games before the playoffs.

And we have, yes, the trifecta! Myself is apoplectic (look it up Bubba).  There may be an a where the o is. If that’s the case Bubba won’t know so it really doesn’t matter.

Anyway, Helene St. James completes the Digger hat trick.  Franzen anyone?

Franzen, who has been out with an upper-body injury, may play against the Flames. probably with former linemates Kris Draper and Kirk Maltby.

Recap: Cheli’s tired.  Kopecky’s hurt but re-signed.  Bertuzzi’s healing and ready.  Franzen’s almost there.  Zetterberg’s on his way back.  Bubba can’t spell.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
