Ras really needs to take advantage of his opportunity on PP2 by raising hell in front of the goalie…..

Agree. They were out and out grooming him for this type of role not too long ago, now he bounces on and off the PP units.

He was outstanding in juniors when it came to screens/ tips/ deflections/ cleaning up rebounds. I see no reason why he couldn’t do same now, other than the physical toll will likely be a bit higher…

It’s really interesting that Hronek has gotten
Leddy pretty consistently since whatever the issue was
that caused him to be benched.

DeKeyser - Hronek
wasn’t working and Hronek is a fiery guy.
I could see him having had enough: I’ve been the one
skilled guy, the guy out there 23-25 mins against the hardest
competition during the lowest-talent recent years of the team.
And a rookie gets the smooth, puck-moving veteran?

I never would’ve thought prior to the season that Seider propping up
DeKeyser would be a plausible explanation for the pairing, but Seider
is so dynamic and so good at so many things that maybe the defensive veteran
who mostly stays out of the way is the best way to balance lines.
Considering three regular roster fees defenseman are out,
Oesterle - Renouf
is not a horrible third pairing in a pinch.

Oesterle should stay with Seider because it has been working well.
DK-Reneuf 12-13 minutes.

+19

Because that’s what would make sense to anyone who’s watched the Wings this year.

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y.
