from Nste Brown of Detroit Hockey Now,
The Detroit Red Wings had a lot of close calls and seemingly were one pass or a deke from a goal. But then Lucas Raymond took over in the third period.
Raymond battled through a couple stick checks and found a wide open Jakub Vrana who ripped Detroit’s first goal into the net. After back to back games and over five scoreless periods, Vrana’s shot ended a number close-but-no-cigar opportunities. Raymond fed Dylan Larkin for the second goal and then added another one of his own with just under six minutes left in the game. The Red Wings 3-0 road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks went beyond Raymond, but he sure seemed to be everywhere on the ice.
“It was a great heads up play by V,” Raymond said of the pass Vrana that set up his goal. “I got it, I was just trying to get a shot off, and this time it went in so it felt good.”
