I love everything about how Yzerman conducts business with the team I love.  Full confidence here.

He has no confidence in the middle round selections, it appears.

Or he’s hiding a terrific pick in the later rounds.

I don’t know.  Whatever he’s doing, he and his scouting staff has the hockey world in a haze like we ain’t seen in a long time.

Best player available day 2:

Nikita Chibrikov RW (2nd line proj)
Aatu Raty C (2nd line centre)
Kirill Kirsanov LHD (2nd pairing)
Daniil Chayka LHD (2nd pairing shut down d-man)
Samu Tuomaala RW (2nd line)
Logan Stankoven C (wing at NHL level),
Sasha Pastujov RW (3rd line forward)
Matthew Knies LW (3rd line 2 way player)
Prokhor Poltapov LW (3rd line agitator with scoring touch)
Francesco Pinelli C (3rd line forward)
Justin Robidas C (5’8” with 2nd line upside due to speed)

I hope the Wings get Raty (assuming Chibrikov, Chayka, and Tuomaala are gone)

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977.  No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y.  Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation.  There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature.  Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that. Your suggestions and critiques are welcome: wphoulihan@gmail.com
