Wings Can’t win D-Zone face-offs.

Rasmussen should bypass the AHL and go directly to ECHL.

Guys in Toronto War-Room shouldn’t be allowed to drink until all games are finished….

So the Wings lose to a team that just earned its third win of the season playing for the most lottery balls for Shane Wright.  I can’t even…

We’re now at the quarter mark of the season. The Wings have a .475 winning percentage. Let’s assume they’ll be a bit better as the season goes on. What makes any of us even contemplate them being anything more than a bubble team; at best. Find your enjoyment in players developing and finding out who belongs like (Veleno, Cool Hand Lucas, Fabbri, Erne and Nasty-Cough) and whose on the bubble like (Smith, Ras, DDK and Oesterle). It’s a long season.

Suppose I should go back to black pill mode unless they play at home.

I about puked on my TV when Ras failed to hit mid ice and created that icing. It left a bad feeling in my stomach. Stupid is as stupid does.

LOL at people thinking Ras is on the bubble or headed to the ECHL.

Kid made a huge mistake, but he’s still your above average 3C for at least the next 4 years.

Ras is going nowhere. If he was a 3rd rounder, or drafted by Yzerman, people would love him. He didn’t live up to his draft position but he’s an NHL player and a plus matchup 3C.

Wasn’t just the stupid icing last night. Rasmussen hasn’t won a single board battle this year. He doesn’t go to the crease or tip/bang home pucks.

In junior, he made his living as a power play guy. Since he’s been in Detroit, he hasn’t shown any ability to use his size/strength to be anywhere near the player he was in junior. Hey, it happens. 1st rounders fail all the time….

Ras:

20 games 1 goal 6 assists 7 points -4

For a first round Center, sorry that does not cut it long in this league

I think more was expected from him given his size. Yeah, he’s young. Let’s see how much more he can develop over the next 62 games.

Ras is actually decent in his own end and on the PK, but offensively he just can’t hack it (this far, and he’s in his draft year +3). Is it too late to turn him into a Dman? Less skating, and just “being big” is more of an asset than it is for a not-terribly-fast center.

Funny nobody want to bring up Ras’s superior penalty killing skills this season. Or his massive improvements and solid showings in the face off.

Let’s definitely Not bring up the time He was used often as a matchup on Ovi and limited him to ZERO shots on goal. That was one game after being matched up against McDavid quite a bit and limiting him as well.

Selective memories and hot takes.
