Wild Recall Cody Almond

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Cody Almond from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Almond, 21 (7/24/89), has skated in four games in two separate recalls with Minnesota this season averaging 6:02 in TOI/game. He has posted 23 points (11-12=23) in 43 games for the Aeros. Almond leads Houston with seven power-play goals, ranks second in goals and penalty minutes (82) and is fourth in scoring. The 6-foot-2, 217-pound native of Calgary, Alta, scored one goal in seven games for the Wild last season as a rookie. Almond was originally selected by Minnesota in the fifth round (No. 140 overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He wears No. 27 with the Wild.
