Michel Goulet Joins Flames Scouting Staff

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames Executive Vice President & General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the appointment of Michel Goulet as western professional scout.

Goulet, who was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998, will be based in Denver, CO and along with Eastern Pro Scout Steve Leach, will report directly to Assistant General Manager Jay Feaster.
“Michel Goulet has enjoyed an outstanding career in professional hockey, first as an incredibly talented player and later as a talent evaluator and administrator. He has helped assemble championship teams at both the NHL and AHL affiliate level, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to our pro scouting ranks. We are pleased to welcome him to the Flames’ organization,” said Sutter.

The 50 year old Goulet joins the Flames organization following 15 years as a member of the Colorado Avalanche management/scouting staff.  As Vice-President of Player Personnel, Goulet had his name engraved on the Stanley Cup in 1996 and 2001.
