ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed left wing Jean-Francois Jacques to a one-year contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), appeared in 51 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season, collecting 4-1=5 points with 63 penalty minutes (PIM). He tied a career high in goals and established a personal best in appearances during his sixth season with Edmonton. In addition, the 6-4, 217-pound winger ranked fifth on the Oilers with 111 hits. Jacques also appeared in four American Hockey League (AHL) games with Oklahoma City last season, recording one goal (1-0=1) with 15 PIM.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired right wing Brian McGrattan and defenseman Sean Zimmerman from Boston in exchange for center Stefan Chaput and right wing David Laliberte. Both McGrattan and Zimmerman will report directly to Syracuse, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
McGrattan, 29 (9/2/81), has appeared in 182 career NHL contests with Ottawa, Phoenix and Calgary, collecting 3-11=14 points with 395 penalty minutes (PIM). He most recently played with the Flames in 2009-10, scoring 1-3=4 points in 34 contests with 86 PIM. A native of Hamilton, Ontario, McGrattan appeared in a career-high 60 contests in 2005-06 with Ottawa, scoring 2-3=5 points with 141 PIM.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired a conditional seventh-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft from Toronto in exchange for left wing Aaron Voros.
Voros, 29 (7/2/81), appeared in 12 contests for Anaheim in 2010-11, going scoreless with 43 penalty minutes (PIM). He missed 21 games (Dec. 10-Jan. 25) with a fractured orbital bone suffered on Dec. 8 at Vancouver. He was assigned to the Syracuse Crunch (Anaheim’s primary development affiliate) of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Feb. 9. Voros appeared in two contests with the Crunch, going scoreless with five PIM. The 6-4, 210-pound winger played in 41 games with the New York Rangers in 2009-10, scoring 3-4=7 points with 89 PIM. He had a career-high 8-8=16 points with 122 PIM in 54 games with the Rangers in 2008-09.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has assigned goaltender Ray Emery to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Emery signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Ducks yesterday.
Emery, 28 (9/28/82), has yet to play hockey in 2010-11 after recovering from hip surgery that was performed in April 2010. He appeared in 29 contests with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2009-10, posting a 16-11-1 record with a 2.64 goals-against average (GAA) and .905 save percentage (SV%). He had a five-game winning streak from Oct. 31-Nov. 12, 2009, compiling a 1.38 GAA (7 GA/305 MIN) and .954 SV% (145-of-152) during that span. In addition, the 6-2, 196-pound netminder posted shutouts on three different occasions in 2009-10 for the Flyers.

Guenin, 28 (12/10/82), appeared in three games for Columbus this season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM) while averaging 14:47 time-on-ice (TOI). The 6-2, 210-pound defenseman was recalled from Springfield of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Oct. 16 and reassigned back to the AHL on Oct. 26. He has also appeared in 30 AHL games in 2010-11, collecting 0-5=5 points with 21 PIM with Springfield.

Williams, 22 (4/18/88), has appeared in 12 contests for the Hartford Wolf Pack/Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season, earning one assist with two penalty minutes (PIM). In 2009-10 with Hartford, the 6-5, 237-pound blueliner established a career high in assists and ranked tied for third among team defensemen in goals (4-16=20). A native of Aurora, IL, Williams made his professional hockey debut with the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) in 2008-09, earning 7-14=21 points in a career high 70 games. In 138 career AHL contests, Williams has notched 11-31=42 points with 107 PIM.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired center Stefan Chaput and right wing Matt Kennedy from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for center Ryan Carter.
Chaput, 22 (3/11/88), has played in 20 games with Charlotte this season, Carolina’s primary American Hockey League affiliate (AHL), recording three assists with nine penalty minutes (PIM). He was drafted by Carolina in the fifth round (153rd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-0, 192-pound forward scored 10-28=38 points with 18 PIM with Albany (AHL) last season.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired left wing Patrick Maroon and right wing David Laliberte from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Danny Syvret and center Rob Bordson.
Laliberte, 24 (3/17/86), has appeared in 18 games with the Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia’s American Hockey League affiliate) this season, scoring 2-6=8 points with 20 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-1, 198-pound right wing played in 11 NHL games (2-1=3 points) and one Stanley Cup playoff game (scoreless) last season with the Flyers. Laliberte scored a goal in his first NHL game on Oct. 30, 2009 vs. Carolina.
A native of St. Liboire, Quebec, Laliberte, was drafted by the Flyers in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2002-07 before making his AHL debut with the Phantoms in 2007-08. He scored 50 goals (50-48=98) in 68 games with Prince Edward Island (QMJHL) in 2006-07.
Maroon, 22 (4/23/88), has played in nine games with the Phantoms this season, scoring 5-3=8 points with 30 PIM. The 6-4, 225-pound left wing scored 11-33=44 points with 125 PIM in 2009-10 with Adirondack.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Maroon was drafted by the Flyers in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2007-08, scoring 35-55=90 points in 64 games.
RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has claimed right wing Troy Bodie on waivers from the Anaheim Ducks.
“Troy is a gritty player who gets up and down the ice well,” said Rutherford. “He has good size and will add a physical presence to our corps of forwards.”
Bodie, 25, has played in nine games with the Ducks this season, earning one assist and registering seven penalty minutes. The Portage La Prairie, Man., native is in his fifth professional season, and third season with Anaheim. In 57 career NHL regular-season games with the Ducks, Bodie (6’4”, 213 lbs.) has scored five goals, earned three assists (8 points) and accumulated 87 penalty minutes. Anaheim drafted Bodie in the ninth round, 278th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed left wing Matt Beleskey to a two-year contract extension through the 2012-13 NHL season. Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed.
Beleskey, 22 (6/7/88), appeared in 60 games for Anaheim in his rookie NHL season in 2009-10, collecting 11-7=18 points with 35 penalty minutes (PIM). Among NHL rookies, Beleskey ranked tied for 10th in goals, tied for third in game-winning goals (3), seventh in hits (94) and 10th in shots (123). He also finished sixth among team leaders in goal scoring and tied for fourth in game-winners.
