Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Saturday that the club has recalled center Martin St. Pierre from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League) and placed forward Marco Sturm on long-term injured reserve. St. Pierre will join the team after the Bruins’ Saturday matinee against the Hurricanes and travel with the club on their upcoming road trip to St. Louis and New Jersey. Sturm, meanwhile, is out indefinitely due to injury.
The leading scorer for the P-Bruins this season and second leading scorer in the AHL, St. Pierre has recorded a 10-25=35 line in 30 games. His 25 assists lead the team and his 10 goals rank tied for second. This is St. Pierre’s first recall to Boston this season.
Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today that forward Jamie Lundmark has been reassigned to Quad City (AHL).
Lundmark played in three games with the Calgary Flames registering two assists and has a +2 rating.
ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled center Andrew Ebbett from the Iowa Chops, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has acquired forward Jonathan Filewich from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a conditional 6th round draft choice in 2010.
Filewich, 24, has played in 19 games this season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording four points (two goals, two assists) and six penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-2, 208-pound right winger made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh, skating in five games. In addition to last season, he also appeared in 71 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, registering 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) and 44 penalty minutes.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has recalled defenseman Tyson Strachan under emergency conditions from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Strachan, 24, skated in two preseason games for the Blues this season, registering one assist, two penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating. The 6-1, 212-pound defenseman has played in 28 games for the Rivermen this season, recording four points (two goals, two assists) and 65 penalty minutes.
The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled defenseman James Wisniewski (6-0, 207) from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs and have activated him from Injured Reserve.
Wisniewski, 24, who was on a long-term injury exception conditioning loan, appeared in two games with Rockford, which includes recording professional career highs with three goals and four points in the squad’s 7-2 win over the Chicago Wolves last Saturday.
The Canton, Michigan, native has not appeared in any games with the Blackhawks this season while recovering from a knee injury sustained during the offseason. Last season, he led Blackhawks defensemen and ranked second overall on the squad with a career-high 103 penalty minutes, while registering career bests with seven goals, 19 assists and 26 points in 68 matchups
Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the recall of forward Jamie Lundmark from Quad City (AHL).
After 28 games with the Quad City Flames this season, Lundmark leads the team in assists (23) and points (30). He was also named the CCM/AHL Player of the Month for November when he recorded 19 points (five goals and 14 assists) in 13 games.
