The first edition of Sabres Observer Radio, a weekly show that I'm co-hosting with Joe Pinzone of BuffaloWins.com, is on the air.
This week: Anthony SanFilippo of PhiladelphiaFlyers.com gives an update on the Flyers as they head into Buffalo for the Sabres opener this Sunday, Matthew Coller of WGR SportsRadio 550 reveals what went down during his heated analytics debate with Sabres broadcaster Kevin Sylvester, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald previews the Sabres season, and we announce details of the "Adopt-A-Sabre" contest where we'll hopefully give away playoff tickets.
If you can't spend the entire 45 minutes with us, use the guide below to jump to a specific segment or interview:
00:52 - Dave is satisfied with what Darcy Regier has done to upgrade the Sabres at the center position, but Joe is definitely not impressed.
06:55 - Anthony SanFilippo of PhiladelphiaFlyers.com
13:07 - Logjam on defense? Dave and Joe discuss the options.
16:46 - Matthew Coller of WGR SportsRadio 550
29:46 - Details of the "Adopt-A-Sabre" contest
33:25 - Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald
40:12 - Dave and Joe give their outlook on the season for Buffalo
To be eligible to win Sabres playoff tickets, follow @DaveDavisHockey on twitter. Listen to the contest segment for more details.

About The Sabres Observer
Dave Davis has covered the Buffalo Sabres for various NHL accredited websites and newspapers since 2003. He was the senior writer and Sabres correspondent for The Fourth Period, covered hockey for Western New York Sports and Leisure Magazine, and has had articles featured on NHL.com, FOX Sports, Yahoo Sports and in New York Sportscene. Sabres news and notes can be found on his Twitter page.
Davis originally garnered media attention in 2002 as leader of a lobbying campaign working in unison with potential buyer Mark Hamister attempting to secure state financing to keep the Sabres in Buffalo. In 2004, Davis was briefly back on the airwaves - this time reaching the finals of the inaugural "WGR Rookie" sports talk competition. After a few years of "syndicating" his articles on various sites, along with doing some internet radio work, Davis now devotes his new media efforts to bringing quality Sabres related opinions and content to Kukla's Korner.
