Lindy Ruff Calls Out Flyers As Whiners

From WGR-550,

“I just feel that they’re doing a lot of whining. I didn’t hear any whining when they had ten power plays in Philly and I didn’t hear any whining when the power plays in the first game were lopsided, but all of a sudden there’s all this whining that we’re getting away with murder, that’s a bunch of crap. That’s for the media, that’s for the officials to read, that’s for here let’s get the next call, that’s a bunch of crap, let’s just play. We’re just playing, there hasn’t been one word about officiating out of us, but if they want to cry about the officiating or whine about different calls, go ahead.”

Wait. How can the Flyers possibly be whiners? Can’t be right. They are the ones who call everyone else whiners. That means that there is no way that they can be whiners, if they already accuse everyone else of the same thing.

It’s like when Flyers fans talk about Cindy Crysbybaby. Their own captain might whine/cry/bitch more than anyone else in the league.

But I guess that’s just amazing leadership.

Wait don’t they have Mike Richards (Kramer) AKA Captain Leadership on their Team? They wouldn’t whine? Would they ?? REALLY?? LOL

Bad move Lindy Ruff.  Isn’t it an unwritten rule that you don’t call out people in sports?  I think he just guaranteed a beat down from the Flyers.

In the process, isn’t Ruff whining about Richards?

Flyers get away with all sorts of goonery, because hey, it’s the Flyers, the toughest team ever, so what would be a penalty for other team is true grit for the Flyers. But just as any hypocrite in this world, they hate the taste of their own medicine (remember Pronger last year?). And it works for the supposed ref bias just the same.

Strictly speaking, by addressing this, Ruff is whining as well (although what he says is true)

I love the hypocrisy here. Rosby, the most lame nickname I’ve ever heard, referenced again while asking to stop calling Richards, ‘Captain Leadership.’
