One of my favorite Lindy Ruff clips, and a childhood memory of mine from when he was a player. Ruff attacks Islanders goaltender Billy Smith after being highsticked during Game 6 of the 1980 Semifinals.

I always liked Billy Smith. He was a dirty s.o.b., but he always stood his ground. One of the things I always remember hearing was “fuch you VanHellemond!” The good ole days.

You’re welcome red. Yeah I noticed Van Hellemond was doing this game. Seemed like he did all of them.

Davis originally garnered media attention in 2002 as leader of a lobbying campaign working in unison with potential buyer Mark Hamister attempting to secure state financing to keep the Sabres in Buffalo. In 2004, Davis was briefly back on the airwaves - this time reaching the finals of the inaugural "WGR Rookie" sports talk competition. After a few years of "syndicating" his articles on various sites, along with doing some internet radio work, Davis now devotes his new media efforts to bringing quality Sabres related opinions and content to Kukla's Korner.

I vaguely remember him and Joe Kocur having a good go back in the day. He’s was a tough customer.
