Lots of good news, Paul.  Thanks.  The guys returning are looking to get into game shape for Jan. 1st.  The Preds are a good test to get our guys toughened up a bit before playing the Laffs.

Helm is in tonight, skating with Jurco and Abdelkader.

That could be quite an exciting line.

Except that Helm will be a bit rusty and Abbey has stone hands.  This Abbey as top-six forward is a mess.  He’s not a scorer, and now he doesn’t play the body much anymore, so his value, IMHO, is diminished.

@MoreShoot.

Abbey as a top six not working is probably why he is on the THIRD line and not on the TOP TWO.

would rather see Jurco on 2nd or 1st PP.

Like our D on 2nd PP.

Except for Bucktkets, I like that second unit.

They’d practically be as well off just playing 4-on-4…

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
