All the Wings that dressed in Thursday's 5-4 win over Pittsburgh are on ice for practice. Haven't heard that in awhile.

so… obviously we want to avoid a 3 point game, but who do we want to win in Columbus vs NY tonight?

I’d say the Rags.  CBJ are turning into the Flyers and DuhUcks with their cheap shots behind the play.

Two-point game, first and foremost, but I’m going to say I hope the Rangers win, simply because Columbus needs to be cooled off a bit…

50m target: CBJ win so the Wings can leap-frog the Rangers by winning their game-in-hand.

On CBJ, if you want to be a pharmacist about it, technically the best result for the Red Wings statistically (by a hair) is a CBJ win in regulation. Better to have one team in immediate shooting distance than two just outside it.

But a game that ends in regulation is a lot better than a game that goes to OT, regardless of winners and losers.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
