Winter Classic tickets to go on public sale on Tuesday at 10 AM

On Fox Sports Detroit's "Wingspan," prior to the Red Wings-Coyotes game on Saturday, there was a 30-second blurb that stunned me: according to the narrator, single-game tickets for the Winter Classic are to go on sale to the general public on Tuesday at 10 AM on Ticketmaster.

The Globe and Mail's James Mirtle is confirming that news from the Canadian/Maple Leafs side of the border:

So if you plan on attending the Winter Classic and are not a season ticket-holder or don't want to purchase tickets on the secondary market, get ready to head to Ticketmaster or call the Joe Louis Arena box office at 313-471-6611 on Tuesday morning. It's going to take a lot of luck for you to get your hands on tickets as at least 80,000 and probably much closer to 100,000 of the 110,000+ seats are spoken for.

About The Malik Report

The Malik Report is a destination for all things Red Wings-related. I offer biased, perhaps unprofessional-at-times and verbose coverage of my favorite team, their prospects and developmental affiliates. I've joined the Kukla's Korner family with five years of blogging under my belt, and I hope you'll find almost everything you need to follow your Red Wings at a place where all opinions are created equal and we're all friends, talking about hockey and the team we love to follow.
