The Wings have hit the ice for their skate before tonight's game...

Khan tweets,

Wings morning skate at SAP Center. Datsyuk is skating, even though Babcock has ruled him out for tonight. Helm (possible) also skating.

Helm not taking part in line rushes, so it looks like he won't be ready tonight but no official word yet.

Lines practicing with: Nyquist-Zetterberg-Alfredsson, Miller-Abdelkader-Bertuzzi, Tatar-Andersson-Samuelsson, Cleary-Glendening-Eaves.

Babcock confirms Helm is not playing tonight. DeKeyser in for Marchenko. Who will stay with team for the trip.

Helm not taking part in line rushes, so it looks like he won’t be ready tonight but no official word yet.

I’m completely prepared that he’s not going to play tonight.  So out of all those lines, I will be watching Glendening the most.  He’s really got to step up against Los Tibbys.

Datsyuk, Helm and Franzen all said they’re making progress and are day-to-day, possible for Saturday. Each skated a while after practice.

DeKeyser in for Marchenko

What does it take to get Quincey out of this lineup?  The guy is terrible, hes a minus infinity, he might have damaged Smith’s career beyond repair, and there are several young and able bodied dmen waiting in the wings, one of who is on the trip with you and was a +2 in your last game.
