Wings Recall Jared Coreau And Assign Petr Mrazek To Grand Rapids

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today assigned goaltender Petr Mrazek to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and recalled goaltender Jared Coreau from the Griffins.

Coreau, 22, has appeared in one game with Grand Rapids this season, making 22 saves on Oct. 5, in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Toronto Marlies. The Perth, Ontario, native has also played two games for the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye, posting a 0-1-1 record, a 3.49 GAA and a 0.877 save percentage. He spent the past three seasons at Northern Michigan University, capping off his collegiate career with a career-high 15 wins, a 2.70 GAA and one shutout in 38 appearances as a junior.
